Take time to visit this newly opened Fire Museum in downtown Ypsilanti. The large exhibition hall is
attached to an old Ypsilanti firehouse which has been completely renovated. They have many artifacts
and equipment from Detroit. When I first visited the museum I was shown actual journals from Engine 27
& Ladder 8 where I started as a Detroit fireman in 1973. The journals dated back to the early fifties.
